Mirage Volcano Eruption - March 2016
With the announced closing of The Mirage on July 17th, 2024 I figured I should post my last ever video I shot of the Volcano show in full back in 2016.
Apologies if the video is a bit dark the first minute or so as I was taking photos as well during the filming and was trying to get good shots of the flames and water effects.
Definitely the Mirage will be missed but at least we can always come online to watch videos of the past here on RUclips.

Let It Rain (Open The Floodgates of Heaven) - The Sound Las Vegas (May 25th, 2012)
I never realized the audience was singing along! 😊
Love the show and what it all meant, but I can't really stand to watch this clip because of the "critics" talking in the background.!.!
I love white reaction to hbcu bands
👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿
That lady is so annoying stfu
Off key my ears hurt
Beautiful Sonic Boom Thee I Love ❤️ Believe
Awesome show Sonic BOOM! Love this band and I’m a ASU Hornet alum. My brother is a JSU alum and was Drum section leaded in the Sonic Boom.
JSU fans showed up in good numbers.......
I AM A GRAMBLING GRAD HOWEVER, I LOVE WATCHING THE JSU SONIC BOOM. EXCELLENT SHOW AND GREAT JOB!!!!!.
What’s the name of this song
The first one rho
3:11😍_____ people helping their friends read..... by pointing.
JSU Sonic Boom of The South Often imitated but never duplicated
The boy said culture shock hahaha .. love to see people experience this for the first time 🙌🏾
I wonder who inspired that little Death March in the opening! #FAMUALUMNI
no maam
JSU has been doing the Tiger Run On since the 70s. Do your research!
@@ohsixn FAMUBAND BEING DOING THE DEATH MARCH LONGER THAN THAT. DO YOUR RESEARCH; FAMU BAND ALONE IS CREDITED WITH INVENTING 140+ BAND TECHNIQUES THAT ARE USED TO THIS DAY BY OTHER BANDS. FIND SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH !FRFR. I never said NOTHING BAD BOUT JACKSON SOUND OR PERFORMANCE..I MADE A COMMENT ABOUT A STEP THAT APPEARS TO BE FAMU INSPIRED.
@@corrynthiaiam9205 FAMU is good but the Tiger Run On is not inspired by FAMU. I do understand that all the early hbcu band directors in the south were inspired by new orleans sound and probably knew each other. Its good to be proud of your alumni band but the Tiger Run On has nothing to do with FAMU.
@@corrynthiaiam9205 not the death march though
Them wack ass diamond they tried to do. They should do a better job copying Southern University # Human Jukebox.. They music horrible to. No musicianship. Sound like a high school band. If Jackson state excite y’all like that UNLV should invite Southern University.
Gregory Morris this was 3 years ago ...why even bother typing that
@@Bbaybird21 cause he a fuckin loser plain and simple fuck him while he all on Southern dick p.s. band reject more than likely
you’re so wrong
What diamond bro
This old ass mf came to a 6 year old video just to hate AND be wrong.
only thing I dont like is some of the marching becuase some people are doing 45 degree stepping and some 90 degree stepping either you do sumthing inbetween or you do one of the other and that makes some people look as if they are marching faster and slower that others while they were playing
That’s called being a freshman. As a former trumpet player and retired percussionist you can spot out freshman that are just learning how to play from their diaphragm for the first time while attempting marching. If someone plays from their chest for 3-4 years in high school, the muscle memory/habit won’t be broken by the first game. As it is hard to stop a bad habit like that plus still have your sound travel effectively. You are left with 2 options: 1) Practice playing from diaphragm during the season( at 45 degrees) until you are comfortable enough to start marching/ playing correctly at a 90. This is considered putting in effort to adapt. 2) March at a 90 to look as a union in the band and not play as loud (required) and have your section leader pissed because you aren’t putting in the effort to adapt. #2 can result in you not marching the rest of the season and being losing a scholarship because you didn’t put in the effort. For the first game they sound good so it’s safe to say they were *all* putting in the effort, and you are just knit picking.
SONIC, SONIC BOOOOOOOOM!
They didn’t expect that lol
Me being white this shit is hard to watch because of the WHITE lady . Pisses me off people can’t just enjoy what there watching .
Sub to me I’ll sub back
whoever that is talking in the back, know NOTHING OF HIGH STEPPING & QUALITY BC THEIR USED TO BANDS STANDING IN NE SPOT WITH SHITTY MUSIC
..and Sam Boyd Stadium was never the same again.
Aaron S The BOOM
I know this vid is almost 2 years old, but Jesus Christ (forgive me for taking the Lord's name in vain) the lady in the background criticizing was absolutely annoying! Typical...and sad that I expected it. Great job Boom!
You are absolutely right, because their drum major sticks were all together. It's just sad at how some people try to find anything negative to say about this phenomenal, outstanding, world wide know band!!!!😊😊😊😊
just another Karen not surprised !!
Now I'm a Alcornite but that lady criticizing was a mess. It made me want to look at UNLV and I was not impressed. Kml! Boom you did awesome coming from a Alcornite!
@@jhunt7919 UNLV sucks and is boring honestly no offense
hear the white lady coming to the end in the background telling the guy she was looking to see somebody who wasnt doing it! lol white ppl always looking for and thinking negatively.
J.S.U ROCKS DA HOUSE! #Being Humble #143 143
To the girl who said, "what is that...they need to fix that, oh its terrible now," stfu....smh just enjoy the damn show
1990s were amazing lol she doesn't know what rhythm is or how to direct a band...
But at 1:27 it had them shook. They picked the right song selection considering the crowd. Imagine them playin 2 Chainz or Lil Boosie lmao
Windex from the 1990s they are good as fuck I’m a huge boom fan
For real, the band just shut her ass by that amazing performance.
lol calm down y'all, it's not that serious 😂😂😂
same old intro and they got shit beat out of them and then they played tsu the following week and took a lost bans and football! smh
Why would you wish for JSU to change the bands traditional fanfare? SMH!
stop hating.
Patrice Johnson "Blowin Fanfare" is a tradition and what SHC did you see cause TNSU took a bigger L than Meek Mill that day
Pat a hater foreal straight pussy hater
Took a what, sis?
Awesome
Song selection won the crowd over real quick. Good job boom.
They had to cater to the demographics! lol
yý
It's not really the song selection so much. HBCU bands bring that 🔥🔥🔥no matter what they play. Nobody wants to go to a football game and have to listen to a tired ass symphonic round lol.
Lmao you right
@@BigRut1984 Song selection was definitely a major factor lol
Nice job boom!!!
The audience is in...I love it!!!
Great job Boom
Great job BOOM & 'Settes. They only gave a sample of what they can do......
Its about damn time!!! Finally...Go Rebs!!!
Ha!! Ha!! Ha!! I was here and grew up in Vegas for the 89' - 90' Championship game. It's good to see the same enthusiasm LMAO!!! HALLELUJAH!!!
Luv it !
Love this great worship urbana was an amazing experience
